Facebook, Instagram, and What’s App have crashed and it’s been a good solid 8 hours with no end in sight. People are going crazy on Twitter and Tik Tok over the blackouts. Unfortunately for businesses who depend on Facebook, Instagram, and What’s App to generate sales, traffic to their website, or get leads. This is hindering their ability to make a profit. This is why you need a better marketing strategy for your business.

Social media is a great way to grow your business, but it should not be your only source. It should be a part of the marketing strategies that you create before promoting and sharing information. If you don’t have a marketing strategy then that should be your main priority right now as the platforms are down. It can take you 2-3 hours to create and plan a strategic plan that will work for you!

These are ways you can generate sales without social media.

Create a website

If you are using a third-party website, that is fine. Create a website using a free service that can redirect people to your Shopify, Etsy, or another e-commerce website. However, I do believe that having your own domain name whether it’s with Shopify or another website is like owning real estate.

When you have grown enough, you will want to register your business as an LLC and trademark your brand. It’s worth investing in your own domain. You can create your own blog to provide evergreen content – informative content – that pertains to your niche. In addition, you can monetize your blog for additional revenue.

Unlike Facebook, you can control what people see when they visit your platform. It’s a totally different vibe and energy. The goal is to drive traffic to your website and to get people to stay on as long as possible. No different than the strategies that Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram, and Youtube use.

Video Marketing

Youtube is another social media platform, but it’s not the only one. Tik Tok has taken social media by the storm and there is Vimeo that many businesses prefer due to customization to embedding them to their website. With Youtube, you can go live to inform your followers about any updates if pre-recorded content isn’t available.

Video marketing has grown so much! Look at Rihanna for an example. Her marketing strategy is to make you feel as if you are experiencing her products whether it’s lingerie or skincare. You not only want to dive into video marketing as a part of your marketing strategy but you want to be strategic and plan it accordingly.

Having your own website host video content will increase your chances of keeping people on your website for a longer period of time. The longer people stay the higher you rank. This is why SEO is so important even for video content. Knowing the right keywords to rank high on the search engine to get the clicks to that page.

Email Marketing

Creating an email list is like having gold. The reason is you can sell an e-mail list like you can sell your domain. You can easily generate sales by sharing free information or semi-exclusive information that your target audience needs. Adding affiliate links to your email campaigns can help you increase your passive income.

You can easily set up a campaign journey so you can make money on automation. Email marketing gives you more freedom to be the entrepreneur you want to be. Set a schedule to write out 5 emails every Sunday and you will see your revenue increase!

Be sure to offer free stuff, coupon codes, or even a sneak peek of the products or services you plan on offering in the future. Email marketing is a great way to get feedback from your customers as they can direct you in the right direction on what products or services to offer.

By creating an e-mail list, you can easily drop a bulk email to a list of 1,500 who will see it in their email verse working against the algorithms set by Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Youtube.

Google Ads

In order for this to work, you would need a website that isn’t Facebook, Instagram, What’s App, Tik Tok, etc. Having your own domain will work wonders for getting traffic to your website. The goal isn’t to get sales, but to generate traffic and leads so you can turn it into a sale.

Using social media platforms as your only source to bring brand awareness and market yourself is not the best way to manage your business. Even if you are an influencer, using another website and email address can help your audience be able to still have access to you. As an influencer, you gotta stop thinking like one and start thinking like a business owner.

With Google Ads, you can easily create a search, display ads, and even a campaign for a Youtube video to get conversions. The sole purpose for this isn’t to gain sales but to generate leads and gain new followers. With Google Ads, a Machine Learning algorithm, you don’t really have to do much to adjust your settings as it does it for you. You set your budget and let it go.

In comparison to Facebook, its not really the same. But it can help you reach the people you want and increase your following as you continue to be consistent with your content on any platform.
